Stay tuned. We are currently working hard to solve this problem

19 September 2014

As you can all see, it has been some time since anyone looked at our website! The committee apologises for this and we are now endeavoring to keep the site up to date with relevant news and info on upcoming gigs. Now that I have got my head around things, we should be able to keep our website updated.

A place for your news and reviews, thank you to those who take time to contribute

On the 2nd of November we had our last Friday club night of the year. The night kicked off with The Doolmasons, Peter Mason, percussion and vocals and our prez, Graham Dooley on his Didgeridoo delivering an awesome set, freshly different from the norm! Next up was Thoughtful and the Mighty Heart, a trio of highly talented young lads who played an energetic, high octane set. This was the first time I had seen them play, and am still in awe how easily they ALL swopped between playing each instrument and sharing the vocal duties, a bright future beckons!

Luke Flanders then took to the stage for an impromptu set of some old favourites, love that ass song Luke! Then last but not least The Tommy Gunners hit the stage with their three pronged guitar attack, belting out a strong set of originals to finish the night of on a high!
I think our Friday club nights are a great formula, what better way to relax at the end of a week, good people, a couple of cold ones and some live music! Thanks to all the bands for their time and come on members, let's see you at the next one!

FrontageAbout Us

The Dunedin Musicians' Club, affectionately known as The Musos' Club, was established in 1974 and has survived the ups and down of the economy and the changing music scene to become what it is today.

We are a non profit organisation originally formed to provide a place "After Hours" for working musicians in Dunedin. This has long since turned into a thriving club for not only working musicians, but all musicians young and old and generally for anyone who loves music and having a great time!

Mission

The mission of the Club can be summed up as:

A space where musicians can gather to socialise and network;

A space where musicians can perform and practice;

A space that encourages and fosters the creation of original music;

A space accessible to younger musicians, where they can be fostered and mentored by fellow, more experienced musicians.
